hah~~ I'm in Stanford now and I also major in Biology. That's really lucky to meet you~~
Well, before everything, you must understand that admission process to Standford is highly selective; only the best students have the chance to be admitted. However, you also need to learn to be aggressive. Just be confident and try to be the best!!
Here are things you need to pay attention to in the pre-application time. You need to keep a high GPA, begin to prepare for TOEFL and GRE and hone your essay with precision and patience. Among all those, the most important I wanna tell you is that unlike undergraduate admission, graduate admission depends on the professor you choose ranther than the admission office. If the professor says you are in with full financial aid, you are admitted with that amount of money. So the one who decides you fate is your professor; he is the one to whom you need to show the best of yourself. In this case, I'll introduce you several Biology professors later. Remember, try to let them know you, pay attention to you and appreciate you.
